The glory of this latter house shall be greater.

The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the LORD of hosts.'" 1

For David said, "Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house that is to be built for the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and glory throughout all lands. I will therefore make preparation for it." So David provided materials in great quantity before his death. 2

And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD filled the LORD's house. 3

Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." But he was speaking about the temple of his body. 4

Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it. 5

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 6

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 7

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!" 8

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 9

For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 10

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 11
