Daily Light Devotions - June 5 - Evening
He knoweth our frame; ...
For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust. 1
then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature. 2
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. 3
Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why then are we faithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers? 4
for "'In him we live and move and have our being'; as even some of your own poets have said, "'For we are indeed his offspring.' 5
As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him. 6
Yet he, being compassionate, atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them; he restrained his anger often and did not stir up all his wrath. He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes and comes not again. 7
