Daily Light Devotions - October 17 - Evening
Thine is the kingdom, and the power, ...
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. 1
The LORD reigns; he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting. 2
The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and the LORD will by no means clear the guilty. His way is in whirlwind and storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. 3
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 4
If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 5
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 6
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 7
Not to us, O LORD, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! 8
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name. "But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. 9
