In thy name shall they rejoice all the day

Daily Light Devotions - October 17 - Morning

In thy name shall they rejoice all the day ...

who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted. 1

"Only in the LORD, it shall be said of me, are righteousness and strength; to him shall come and be ashamed all who were incensed against him. In the LORD all the offspring of Israel shall be justified and shall glory." 2

Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! 3

But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it-- the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. 4

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5

Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 6
