Thy kingdom come

Daily Light Devotions - October 12 - Evening

Thy kingdom come.

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 1 

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever, As you looked, a stone was cut out by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. 2 

Then he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. 3 

Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, "The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or 'There!' for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you." 4 

And he said to them, "To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside everything is in parables, And he said, "The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come." 5 

Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 6 

The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. 7
