Bagster's Daily Light - February 6 - Morning
The grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant ...
and the grace of our Lord overflowed for me with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 1
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. 2
Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, 3
so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 4
yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified. 5
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 6
