Thy name is as ointment poured forth.

your anointing oils are fragrant; your name is oil poured out; therefore virgins love you. 1

And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 2

So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone," 3

Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 4

For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, 5

"If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 6

and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. 7

Mary therefore took a pound of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 8

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus. 9
