The whole bull shall he carry forth

Bagster's Daily Light - February 17 - Morning

The whole bull shall he carry forth ...

all the rest of the bull--he shall carry outside the camp to a clean place, to the ash heap, and shall burn it up on a fire of wood. On the ash heap it shall be burned up. 1

So he delivered him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus, and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha. There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them. 2

For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp. So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood. Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured. 3

that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 4

But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 5

For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, 6
