The grief of those whom thou hast wounded

Bagster's Daily Light - February 4 - Evening

The grief of those whom thou hast wounded.

For they persecute him whom you have struck down, and they recount the pain of those you have wounded. 1

And I am exceedingly angry with the nations that are at ease; for while I was angry but a little, they furthered the disaster. 2

Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. 3

let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. 4

And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. 5

Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. 6

We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 7

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 8

Therefore let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. 9
