One star differeth from another star in glory

Bagster's Daily Light - February 2 - Evening

One star differeth from another star in glory.

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. 1

But they kept silent, for on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest. And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, "If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all." 2

Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 3

Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 4

And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. 5
