He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb. No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 2
Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, take up your bed and walk'? 3
And Jesus said to him, "'If you can'! All things are possible for one who believes." 4
And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 5
He said to them, "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?" 6
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 7
But Jesus, aware of this, said, "O you of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? 8
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 9
