Daily Light Devotions - August 8 - Evening

Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord...

For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." 1 

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. 2 

And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And he said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." 3 

And stopping, Jesus called them and said, "What do you want me to do for you?" They said to him, "Lord, let our eyes be opened." And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him. 4 

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" 5 

And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules. "Thus says the Lord GOD: This also I will let the house of Israel ask me to do for them: to increase their people like a flock. 6 

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 7
