I will life up mine eyes unto the hills ...
A Song of Ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. 1
As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, from this time forth and forevermore. 2
A Song of Ascents. To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens! Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he has mercy upon us. 3
for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. 4
O our God, will you not execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you." 5
My eyes are ever toward the LORD, for he will pluck my feet out of the net. 6
Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. 7
