Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. 1 

Moses said to the LORD, "See, you say to me, 'Bring up this people,' but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.' Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me now your ways, that I may know you in order to find favor in your sight. Consider too that this nation is your people." And he said, "My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." 2 

He made known his ways to Moses, his acts to the people of Israel. 3 

He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way. Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose. 4 

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. 5 

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. 6 

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. 7 

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. 8
