Daily Light Devotions - July 27 - Morning
Christ, who is the image of God.
In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 1
And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken." 2
No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 3
Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 4
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 5
Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory. 6
in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 7
For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 8
Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven. 9
