Daily Light Devotions - July 16 - Evening

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. 3
casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 4
"Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you? 5
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 6
The LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. 7
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8
