Daily Light Devotions - July 28 - Morning

Walk in love.

And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 1 

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 2 

Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 3 

Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. 4 

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." 5 

But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. 6 

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles, 7 

Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. 8 

If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 9 

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. 10 

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 11
