Thou hast given me the heritage

Daily Light Devotions - July 29 - Evening

Thou hast given me the heritage ...

For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. 1

no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from me, declares the LORD." 2

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. 3

The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. 4

But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. 5

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 6
