The measure of faith

Bagster's Daily Light - January 15 - Evening

The measure of faith.

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 1

As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. 2

No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, 3

Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" 4

Then Jesus answered her, "O woman, great is your faith! Be it done for you as you desire." And her daughter was healed instantly. 5

When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to him, "Yes, Lord." Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you." 6

The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" 7

But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 8

rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. 9

And it is God who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, 10

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11

We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 12

Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. 13
