Write the things which thou hast seen, ...

Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. 1

For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2

that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 3

See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 4

He who saw it has borne witness--his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth--that you also may believe. 5

For we did not follow cleverly devised myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 6

that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 7
