Serving the Lord with all humility of mind

Bagster's Daily Light - January 19 - Morning

Serving the Lord with all humility of mind.

serving the Lord with all humility and with tears and with trials that happened to me through the plots of the Jews; 1

It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." 2

For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 3

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4

So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'" 5

For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you. 6

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 7
