The apostles assembled themselves to Jesus ...
The apostles returned to Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. 1
A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. 2
Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent. 3
You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 4
So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.'" 5
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" 6
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is acceptable to him. 8
