Bagster's Daily Light - January 4 - Morning
The rest ... which the LORD your God giveth.
for you have not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance that the LORD your God is giving you. 1
Arise and go, for this is no place to rest, because of uncleanness that destroys with a grievous destruction. 2
So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, 3
We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. 4
In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 5
I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. 6
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." 7
There the wicked cease from troubling, and there the weary are at rest. 8
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 9
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. 10
