Let my prayer be set before thee as incense

Bagster's Daily Light - January 2 - Evening

Let my prayer be set before thee as incense.

Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice! 1

"You shall make an altar on which to burn incense; you shall make it of acacia wood. And you shall put it in front of the veil that is above the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is above the testimony, where I will meet with you. And Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it. Every morning when he dresses the lamps he shall burn it, and when Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he shall burn it, a regular incense offering before the LORD throughout your generations. 2

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. 3

and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. 4

you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 5

pray without ceasing, 6
