Be strong and of a good courage.
Whoever rebels against your commandment and disobeys your words, whatever you command him, shall be put to death. Only be strong and courageous." 1
Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2
He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. 3
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. 4
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 5
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? 6
Through you we push down our foes; through your name we tread down those who rise up against us. 7
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 8
