Lot lifted up his eyes

Daily Light Devotions - March 22 - Morning

Lot lifted up his eyes ...

And Lot lifted up his eyes and saw that the Jordan Valley was well watered everywhere like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, in the direction of Zoar. (This was before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.) So Lot chose for himself all the Jordan Valley, and Lot journeyed east. Thus they separated from each other. 1

and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); 2

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 3

Remember Lot's wife. 4

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, 5

Therefore do not become partners with them; for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 6
