What is your life?

yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 1

"My days are swifter than a runner; they flee away; they see no good. They go by like skiffs of reed, like an eagle swooping on the prey. 2

You sweep them away as with a flood; they are like a dream, like grass that is renewed in the morning: in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers. 3

"Man who is born of a woman is few of days and full of trouble. He comes out like a flower and withers; he flees like a shadow and continues not. 4

And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. 5

They will perish, but you will remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away, but you are the same, and your years have no end. 6

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 7
