Daily Light Devotions - March 22 - Evening

If so be the Lord will be with me ...

So now give me this hill country of which the LORD spoke on that day, for you heard on that day how the Anakim were there, with great fortified cities. It may be that the LORD will be with me, and I shall drive them out just as the LORD said." 1

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?" 2

With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone. 3

And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever. 4

Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 5

And the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, "The LORD is with you, O mighty man of valor." And the LORD turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian; do not I send you?" 6
