The fruit of the Spirit is ... joy.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 1
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 2
Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 3
as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything. 4
I am acting with great boldness toward you; I have great pride in you; I am filled with comfort. In all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy. 5
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 6
looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 7
These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. 8
For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. 9
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 10
Then he said to them, "Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength." 11
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. 12
For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." 13
