He ever liveth to make intercession

Daily Light Devotions - April 6 - Morning

He ever liveth to make intercession.

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. 1

Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died--more than that, who was raised--who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. 2

For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf. 3

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 4

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 5

Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. 6

For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 7
