Daily Light Devotions - April 30 - Morning

... in him verily is the love of God perfected.

but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 1

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. 2

And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 3

Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 4

No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 5

By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. 6
