The fruit of the Spirit is longsuffering

Daily Light Devotions - June 1 - Morning

The fruit of the Spirit is longsuffering.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 1

The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, 2

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. 3

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 4

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 6

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. 7
