Daily Light Devotions - May 27 - Evening
I would have you without carefulness.
I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. 1
casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 2
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars." 3
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. 4
"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 5
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 6
