Pray every where, lifting up holy hands

Daily Light Devotions - May 13 - Morning

Pray every where, lifting up holy hands ...

I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling; 1

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." 2

Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, 'Here I am.' If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, 3

And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." 4

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. 5

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 6

If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. 7

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 8
